Weekly Club Notes 03.07.2017

MBC bowlers have recently produced some excellent results. In the NIBA Senior Masters for men and women all four finalists were from our club. Well done to Heather Bezuidenhout, Elna Fraser, Andrew Bond and Bob Radcliffe. The finals were won by Heather and Bob respectively.
Earlier in the week we produced three semi finalists in the NIBA Senior men’s and ladies singles. Well done again to Heather and Andrew as well as to Trevor Spring.
Anybody interested in attending a Technical Officials course to qualify as either an umpire or marker or both contact Bob Radcliffe at 083 7000 718 for detail or place your name on the board and indicate your preferred dates. Novice bowlers are particularly encouraged to attend the Markers course.
NIBA squad training takes place at MBC this Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays and 1.30 Saturdays.
Informal bowls on Fridays at 2pm and Sundays at 9.30 is available to everyone. Woods are available and coaching can be arranged. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Paul Fletcher and Neil Ashton with Mark Mantle sipping on the presidents first touch free drink.
The Kitchen is open Tuesdays to Sundays for breakfast and lunch with Sunday lunch being a traditional roast for R80. Curry and lasagna is on offer Thursday evenings to eat in or take away. 
The 6pm Friday attendance draw stands at R1000. Members must be in attendance to win. An evening meal and meat draws are on offer.
