Weekly Club Notes – 31.07.2017

Well done to our bowlers who won their sections at the Niba men’s and ladies open singles. Rowena Muir, Sandra Smith, Paul Fletcher, Brad Burne, Errol Agnew, Bob Radcliffe, Jerald Mavurambhudzi, Mike Knoesen, Ashley Kleingeld, Roy Fraser and Andrew Bond will be contesting the playoffs this Saturday afternoon at MBC with the tournament concluding all day Sunday. Good luck.
The July E&C Charcoal Breakfast pairs was won by Red Nortier and Rex van Schalkwyk followed by Tommy Harwood and Jerry Klopper.
Bob Radcliffe and 16 year old Tristan Everton have reached the final of the club men’s singles. Date to be arranged.
Well done to Trevor Spring on winning the T T mixed singles.
Place your name on the board to attend an Umpire and/or Markers course.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays and 1.30 Saturdays.
Informal bowls on Fridays at 2pm and Sundays at 9.30 is available to everyone. Woods available. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Gus Blackbeard, Rob Jeffrey and Satha Moodley who also scooped the presidents first touch free drink.
The Kitchen is open Tuesdays to Sundays for breakfast and lunch with Sunday lunch being a traditional roast for R80. Curry and lasagne on is on offer Thursday evenings to eat in or take away. 
The 6pm Friday attendance draw stands at R1400. All members are entered automatically but must be present to win. A Friday evening meal and meat draws are on offer.
