Weekly club notes 11.09.2017

Congratulations to Allan Willey, Doc Hartley and Gary Baleson of Mooi River who won our annual Archie Allan men’s trips. Tommy Harwood, Ashleigh Kleingeld and Bruce Thomas came second and¬† Gerald Lee, Les Corlett and Jerry Klopper finished third. Ladies from all clubs are welcome at our monthly Ladies bowls and lunch day at 8.30 Friday 22. Confirm your attendance with Pam Spring at 0823741803.
Our E&C Charcoal Breakfast pairs resumes this month at 8.30 Saturday 30. Place new entries on the board or phone Bruce Thomas on his new number 0718922082.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays and 1.30 Saturdays.
Informal bowls on Fridays at 2pm and Sundays at 9.30 is available to everyone including new bowlers. Woods are available and coaching can be arranged. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Norma Blomefield, Gus Blackbeard, Mark Mantle and Nicky Williams who also won the best dressed lady award. Frank Lategan scooped the presidents first touch free drink.
The kitchen is open Tuesdays to Sundays for breakfast and lunch with Sunday lunch being a traditional roast for R50. Curry and lasagne is on offer Thursday evenings to eat in or take away.
A weekly Friday club braai will take place as from this week on a BYO basis. Fires will be lit at 5.30. The evenings will include the weekly Friday 6pm attendance draw which now stands at R2000. All members are automatically entered but must be in attendance to win. Visitors are welcome to join for the braai and enter our meat draw.
