Weekly Club Notes 6.11.2017

Our annual Specsavers Atholl Wood men’s fours takes place on November 25 and 26. A R10 000 first prize is on offer with further cash prizes for places. Session and lucky draw prizes as well. Phone Carol Nesbitt 0824942022 or Kevin Williams 0793276288.
Keith Harcombe, Kevin Williams and James Evertse together with Lester Coleman of Lynnwood finished a credible 3rd at the annual Battlefields event at Dundee.
Kiddo McKenzie, Mark Mantel, Marinda Opperman and Gus Blackbeard won our November monthly Wednesday fours sponsored by Polly Shorts Pick n Pay and J Leslie Attorneys.
The Niba men’s and ladies district fours commence this Sunday at Collegians. Good luck to our bowlers.
Our monthly Ladies bowls and lunch day is at 8.30 next Friday 17th. For detail and to confirm attendance contact Pam Spring at 0823741803.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Informal bowls on Fridays at 2pm and Sundays at 9.30 is available to everyone. Woods are available. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Suva Pillay, Herman Muller and Jean Roberts with Pam Knott sipping on the presidents first touch free drink. Free whisky, milk and a boerewors roll for bowlers this Sunday.
Our 6pm Friday attendance draw stands at R500. All members are entered automatically but must be present to win. A meat draw sponsored by Save Butchery and an evening meal are on offer as well.
The kitchen is open Tuesdays to Sundays for breakfast and lunch with Sunday lunch being a traditional roast for R60.
Curry and lasagne on Thursday evenings is on offer to eat in or take away.
