Weekly Club Notes 13/11/2017

Well done Wilma Halvorsen, Pam Spring, Geraldine van Rooyen and Harriet Sydenham as well as Keith Harcombe, Bob Radcliffe, Brad Burne and Calvin Hollis on winning their respective sections at the Niba mens and ladies district fours. Play continues at Collegians on Sunday for the ladies and Saturday for the men. Good luck to our two sides.
Breakfast pairs has concluded for the year due to our annual Specsavers Atholl Wood men’s fours taking place on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 November. This old and prestigious tournament offers good comaraderie, a R10 000 first prize, further cash prizes for places, session and lucky draw prizes. Ladies don’t forget your Ladies bowls and lunch day at MBC tomorrow at 8.30. Bowlers from all clubs are welcome.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays. The November Tricky Thursday winners were Mike Hill, Heinz Venter and Win Whitear. The combined points log over the year sees Mike now move into 3rd place behind leader Tim Goodricke and 2nd placed Suva Pillay.
Informal bowls on Fridays at 2pm and Sundays at 9.30 is available to everyone. Woods are available and coaching can be arranged. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Ananda Mustard, Neil Ashton and Satha Moodley who also scooped the presidents first touch free drink.
Our kitchen is open Tuesdays to Sundays for breakfast and lunch with Sunday lunch being a traditional roast for R60.
Curry and lasagne is on offer Thursday evenings to eat in or take away.
All members are automatically entered into our 6pm Friday attendance draw although only those present stand a chance of taking home the money which now stands at R600. The evening also offers a meat draw sponsored by Save Butchery and an evening meal.
