Weekly Club Notes 15.04.2018

Our ladies league side had a good win against Lynnwood last Saturday. Our men’s premier, first and second division sides beat Lynnwood, Mooi River and Eddels. Our two fourth division sides played each other resulting in another win but also our only loss of the weekend. Check the board for teams and venues for this Saturday.
Those participating are requested to arrange and complete their first round matches in the club drawn fours.
Our monthly Ladies bowls and lunch day goes ahead tomorrow (Friday) and welcomes lady bowlers from all clubs at 8.30. Pam Spring is away but can be contacted at 082 374 1803.
Our next Breakfast pairs takes place on Saturday 28 at 8.30. Phone Bruce Thomas at 0718922082 or place entries on the board.
All members are entered automatically but must be present to win R600 at tomorrows (Friday) 6pm attendance draw. The evening includes a meat draw sponsored by Save and an evening meal is on offer.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays (T T bowls). Winners of the T T drawn pairs were Mike Hill and Daya Govender followed by Ken Hooper and Piet Sceepers and third Charles Carr and Luzan Bosman. The April Tricky Thursday winners were Dick Edwards, Berti Hellberg and Alan Boyd. Tim Goodricke leads the Tricky Thursday points two clear of Mike Wilson and Win Witear.
Informal bowls on Fridays at 2pm and Sundays at 9.30 is available to everyone. Woods are available at the club. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Nicky Williams, Chris Muncaster and Paul Fletcher who also scooped the presidents first touch free drink. Bowls this Sunday is followed by a bring n braai and music. Visitors and friends are welcome.
As usual our kitchen is open Tuesdays to Sundays for breakfast and lunch with Sunday lunch being a traditional roast for R70. Curry and lasagne is on offer Thursday evenings to eat in or take away.
