Weekly Club Notes 23.4.2018

In the league our mens 1st, 2nd and one 4th division side beat West, Kokstad and Richmond . Our premier and other 4th division side lost to Collegians and West. Our ladies lost to West.
Check the board for teams and venues for this Saturday. The 4th division league has come to an end. Our two sides final positions are to be announced.
Well done Nithia Pillay, Hugh Barr and Charles Carr as well as Egon von Meyer, Ian Fyvie and Mike Hill on reaching the semi finals of the Niba Senior mens trips.
Our April Breakfast pairs takes place this Saturday at 8.30. It is not too late to enter. Phone Bruce at 0718922082 or place entries on the board.
Bowlers in the club drawn fours are encouraged to make necessary arrangements to complete their games.
Our next Wednesday mixed fours sponsored by Polly Shorts Pick n Pay and J Leslie Attorneys is at 8.30 on May 2.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Informal bowls on Fridays at 2pm and Sundays at 9.30 is available to everyone. Woods are available at the club as is a free sponsored whisky and milk on Sundays. Aspirant bowlers receive guidance from experienced bowlers in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The lucky draw chicken winners last Sunday were Elaine van Rooyen, Maria Clarke and Errol Agnew with Trevor Brown quaffing the presidents first touch free drink.
Our weekly 6pm Friday attendance draw stands at R700. All members are entered automatically but must be present to win. The evening includes a meat draw sponsored by Save Butchery.
Our kitchen is open Tuesdays to Sundays for breakfast and lunch with Sunday lunch being a traditional roast for R70. Curry and lasagne is on offer Thursday evenings to eat in or take away.
