Weekly Club Notes 21.05.2018

Good luck to Sandra Smith, Paul Fletcher, Brad Burne, Triston Everton and Calvin Hollis who have been invited to the Niba mens and ladies preliminary Masters this Saturday and Sunday at Collegians.
Charles Carr, Nithia Pillay and Bob Radcliffe won their sections at the Niba senior mens singles with Bob reaching the final to be played against Laylon Howard at a later date at MBC.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays (T T bowls). Dave Mayo and Rowena Muir followed by Andrew Bond and Tom Ackerman lead the way after two rounds of the T T drawn pairs 2.4.2 competition sponsored by Surelink Wealth. The winners of the first round losers were Mike Hill and Alan Boyd.
Our May Breakfast pairs takes place on Saturday at 8.30. It is not too late to enter. Phone Kevin Williams at 0793276288.
Entries close on Sunday for the Niba mens and ladies novice singles to be played on June 10 as do entries for the Niba senior fours to be played on June 12 to 14.
Members are encouraged to attend skills development on Fridays at 3.30pm. The aim is to improve and monitor the skills of our bowlers throughout the club.

A real effort should be made to timeously arrange and complete club competition matches.

Informal bowls on Fridays at 2pm and Sundays at 9.30am is available to everyone. New bowlers receive guidance from experienced bowlers in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The seed was sewn for numerous registered bowlers who began their bowls at Sunday bowls. Woods are available at the club. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Annette Symes, Steve Anley and Tommy Ackerman while Charmaine Lombard sipped on the presidents first touch free drink.
All members are entered automatically but must be present to win the weekly 6pm Friday attendance draw which stands at R300. A meat draw sponsored by Save is a popular part of the evening and the kitchen offers an evening meal.

Price and taste friendly meals for breakfast and lunch are available Tuesdays to Sundays. Thursday evenings offer curry and lasagne to eat in or take away.
