Weekly Club Notes 28.05.2018

Our May Breakfast pairs winners were Mickey Knoesen and Errol Agnew followed by Les Corlett and Craig Lyle.
Good luck to Kevin Williams and Keith Harcombe at the mens and ladies Niba Open Masters being played at MBC this Saturday and Sunday.
Our next Wednesday mixed fours sponsored by Polly Shorts Pick n Pay and J Leslie Attorneys takes place on June 6 at 8.30.
Skills development on Fridays at 3.30pm is for all MBC bowlers to improve and monitor their skills so join in and enjoy.
Every effort should be made to timeously arrange and complete club competition matches.
Our annual Inter Pub day is on Saturday June 16. Phone Alfie Smith at 0763375775 for details.
All members are entered automatically into our weekly 6pm Friday attendance draw but must be present to win. The evening includes a meat draw sponsored by Save and an evening meal is on offer. The draw stands at R400.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays (T T bowls). Winners of the second round of the Surelink Wealth 2.4.2 T T drawn pairs were Charles Carr and Heinz Venter followed by Rodney Braithwaite and Gnana Moodley. Charles and Heinz are points leaders going into the final round. Winners of the second round losers were Andrew Bond and Tom Ackerman.
Informal bowls on Fridays at 2 pm is open to everyone.
Sunday bowls at 9.30 is informal and provides an opportunity for new bowlers to learn from experienced bowlers in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Woods are available at the club. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Satha Moodley, Annette Symes and Gus Blackbeard with Alfie Smith sipping on the presidents first touch free drink. Sharon Alberts took home the ladies first touch chocolates. Always a good Sunday morning.
Taste friendly meals at pleasant prices are available at the club for breakfast and lunch Tuesdays to Sundays. Thursday evenings offer curry and lasagne to eat in or take away.
