Well done Gus Blackbeard and Jerald Mavhurambudzi who won their sections at the Niba mens novice singles. The playoffs take place at West on Sunday 24.
Andrew Bond and his side won our June Wednesday fours sponsored by Polly Shorts Pick n Pay and J Leslie Attorneys.
Entries are closed for our annual Inter Pub day this Saturday morning. Seven rinks on all three greens with music and braai fires. Come and enjoy the occasion.
Ladies confirm attendance at the June Ladies bowls and lunch day tomorrow at 8.30 by phoning Pam Spring at 0823741803. Ladies from all clubs are welcome.
All members are welcome at skills development on Fridays at 3.30pm. The aim is to improve and monitor the skills of all our bowlers.
An effort should be made to timeously arrange and complete club competition matches.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays (T T bowls).
Informal bowls on Fridays at 2pm and Sundays at 9.30am is available to everyone. Woods are available at the club. Bring new bowlers and let them learn from the experienced bowlers in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Craig Oosthuis, Jenny Alberts and Stan Webb with Alfie Smith sipping on the presidents first touch free drink. Jean Roberts won chocolates for the ladies first touch.
Our weekly 6pm Friday attendance draw stands at R200. All members are entered automatically but must be present to win. The evening includes a popular meat draw sponsored by Save Butchery and tasty evening meals are on offer.
Comfort meals at pleasant prices are available at the club from Tuesday to Sunday for breakfast and lunch. Curry on Thursday evenings is always popular and there is always a surprise option on the night.
