Weekly Club Notes 02.07.2018

Our bowlers did us proud this past weekend with our men winning the prestigious annual Frank Lambert tournament and our ladies reaching the final of the equally prestigious Sanders Trophy where they lost narrowly. Congratulations to all involved.
Good luck to our Senior Masters bowlers at Howick this Saturday and Sunday.
Roy Fraser and Merwyn Everton won our June Breakfast pairs followed by Trevor Spring and Jerry Klopper.
Our Ladies bowls and lunch day this month sees the introduction of men as we pit our bowls and croquet skills against our neighbors from the Croquet club. Friday 20 will be a fun day starting at 8.30 so confirm attendance with Pam Spring at 0823741803. Bowlers from all clubs are welcome.
Our bowlers are encouraged to arrange and complete club competition matches.
Skills development on Fridays at 3.30pm whereby bowlers can practise and there progress monitored is available to all members.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays (T T bowls).
New bowlers are encouraged and welcome at our Informal bowls on Fridays at 2pm and Sundays at 9.30am. Woods are available at the club. Experienced bowlers will assist in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Chris Muncaster, Hylton Wood and Craig Agnew with Clinton Willis scooping the presidents first touch free drink.
Our weekly 6pm Friday attendance draw stands at R600. All members are entered automatically but must be present to win. The evening includes a popular meat draw sponsored by Save Butchery and tasty meals are on offer.
Our kitchen provides quality and price friendly meals for breakfast and lunch from Tuesdays to Sundays. Our renowned and popular curry together with a tasty alternative is available Thursday evenings to eat in or take away.
