Weekly Club Notes 09.07.2018

Congratulations to Nithia Pillay on winning the Niba Mens Masters. Also very well done to Wilma Halvorsen on reaching the final of the
Ladies Masters where she finished second and Elna Fraser on finishing fourth.
The winners of our July Wednesday fours sponsored by Polly Shorts Pick n Pay and J Leslie Attorneys were Andrew Bond, Percy Rogers, Dennis Khanyile and Mike De Wee.
This month our ladies bowls and lunch day on July 20 at 8.30 takes on a new meaning with men included in bowls and croquet fun with our Croquet club neighbours. Bowlers from all clubs are welcome. Confirm attendance with Pam Spring at 0823741803.
Christmas in July comes to MBC on Sunday 22 with optional bowls in red at 9.30 followed by scrumptuous Christmas fare at the lunch tables. Phone 0333941862 to book for lunch.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays.
New bowlers are encouraged to receive guidance from experienced bowlers in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere at our informal bowls on Fridays at 2pm and Sundays at 9.30am. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Paul Fletcher, Pam Knott and Danie du Toit with Keith Parsons sipping on the presidents first touch free drink.
Bowlers are encouraged to arrange and complete their own club competition matches. The draw for our Club open singles takes place on Thursday night with the first round to be played if possible this Saturday morning at 9h00. Friday skills development at 3.30 allows all our bowlers to improve and monitor their progress with data updates available.
Quality meals at pleasant prices are available at the club for breakfast and lunch Tuesdays to Sundays. Our popular curry plus a tasty alternative is available Thursday evenings to eat in or take away.
All members are entered automatically into our weekly 6pm Friday attendance draw but must be present to win. It stands at R600 and the evening includes a popular meat draw sponsored by Save Butchery with tasty meals on offer.
