Weekly Club Notes 16.07.2018

Well done Heather Bezuidenhout, Wilma Halvorsen, Kevin Williams, Keith Harcombe, Jerald Mavhurambudzi, Triston Everton, Errol Agnew, Scott Fraser and Bob Radcliffe on winning their sections at the Niba men’s and ladies open singles. The playoffs take place this Saturday and Sunday at West.
This months ladies bowls and lunch day at 8.30 tomorrow ( Friday ) includes men as we pit our bowls and croquet skills against our neighbors from the Croquet club. All bowlers are welcome to join in the fun. Contact Pam Spring at 0823741803 to confirm attendance.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays (T T bowls). The July Tricky Thursday winners were Rod Braithwaite, Heinz Venter and Fred Walter. Heinz now leads the accumulative points by 5 followed by Tim Goodricke. Win Witear moves past Mike Wilson into third place.

Our Friday attendance draw stands at R700. All members are entered automatically but must be present to win. The evening includes a popular meat draw sponsored by Save Butchery and tasty meals are on offer.
Informal bowls on Fridays at 2pm and Sundays at 9.30am is available to everyone. New bowlers receive guidance from experienced bowlers in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Woods are available at the club. Dress in some form of red this Sunday to coincide with our Christmas in July lunch. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Chris Muncaster, Stan Webb and Gus Blackbeard while Jerry Klopper sipped on the presidents first touch free drink.
Bowlers are encouraged to arrange and complete their own club competition matches.
Quality meals at pleasant prices are available at the club for breakfast and lunch Tuesdays to Sundays. Our popular curry plus a tasty alternative is available Thursday evenings to eat in or take away.
