Weekly Club Notes 17.09.2018

A nomination list for our 2018/2019 Club committee is on the board. The AGM is on October 27.
Elna Fraser (Coaches) and Bob Radcliffe (Tecnical Advisors) have been included in the latest BSA National Standing Committee appointments.
Our Pro10 pairs takes place all day this Saturday. A total of R22 000 prize money is at stake. Men and women can phone Kevin Williams at 0793276288.
League bowls starts on October 6. Availability lists for men and women are on the board. Our men now have two sides in the premier league.
Our Ladies bowls and lunch day is at 8.30 tomorrow and lady bowlers from all clubs are welcome. A feature tomorrow will be an interesting talk by a physiotherapist on sport injuries pertaining to bowls. Phone Pam Spring at 0823741803 to confirm attendance.
Our annual Bernina Ladies fours takes place all day Sunday October 21.
Our annual men’s Archie Allen men’s trips is all day Sunday October 28.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays (T T bowls). Winners of the September Tricky Thursday were Dave Mayo, Luzan Bosman and Fred Walter. Tim Goodricke leads the accumulated points followed by Heinz Venter with Fred Walter making his first appearance in the top three at third.
Informal bowls on Fridays at 2pm and Sundays at 9.30am is available to everyone. Woods are available at the club for new bowlers who are able to learn from experienced bowlers in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Hermann Hess, Pranill Bookhan and Ananda Mustard with Enver Essack sipping on the presidents first touch free drink.
Our weekly 6pm Friday attendance draw stands at R1600. The evening includes our popular meat draw and an evening meal is on offer.
Our kitchen is open Tuesdays to Sundays with fair priced quality meals for breakfast and lunch. Thursday evenings offer our popular curry plus a tasty alternative. The evening includes our “Unlock the Lock” fundraiser draw at 6pm which stands at R1640.
