Weekly Club Notes 15.10.2018

Our AGM takes place on Saturday morning October 27 at 10h00 in the Embassy bar. Breakfast pairs this month has accordingly been brought forward to this Saturday October 20.
In the league our MBC A side beat Howick and our ladies beat Hilton. Our MBC B side did well in narrowly going down in both games to West while our 2nd division side lost to Hilton. Check the board for teams and venues for this Saturday.
Kevin Williams, Bob Radcliffe, Errol Agnew and Calvin Hollis won their section at the Niba mens open fours. The playoffs take place this Sunday at Lynnwood.
Bernina sponsor the only ladies tournament in the district and this is now set to take place on Sunday November 4 at MBC. Phone Pam Spring at 0823741803 to enter. Also phone Pam to confirm attendance at the monthly Ladies bowls and lunch day tomorrow (Friday) at 8.30.
Our annual Archie Allen mens trips takes place all day Sunday October 28. Phone Kevin Williams at 0793276288.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Informal bowls on Fridays at 2pm and Sundays at 9.30am is available to everyone. Woods are available at the club for new bowlers who are able to learn from experienced bowlers in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Peter Lowe, Justin Anderson and Ananda Mustard with Ian Wallace sipping on the presidents first touch free drink.
Sharon Alberts won our weekly 6pm Friday attendance draw which now reverts to R100. The evening includes our popular meat draw with quality meals on offer.
Our “unlock the lock” fundraiser draw at 6pm Thursdays stands at R2940. You are not required to be present to win. The evening also offers our popular curry plus a tasty alternative to eat in or take away.
Our kitchen is open Tuesdays to Sundays for breakfast and lunch at reasonable prices for well prepared meals.
