Calvin Hollis was re elected  MBC president with Errol Agnew his deputy. Treasurer is Trevor Cox and Annanda Mustard secretary.
Our annual Archie Allen mens trips takes place all day Sunday November 15. R10 000 cash prizes. Thanks to Sebs meats of Camperdown and Cato Ridge for their R1500 meat hampers. Enter on the board.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays (T T bowls).
New bowlers are welcome at Sunday informal bowls at 9am. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Chris Muncaster, Paul Fletcher and Herman Hess.
Join members on Fridays for the 6pm attendance draw and fund raiser meat draw. Braai fires lit at 17.30

Weekly Club Notes 16.03.2020

Ladies enjoy a game of bowls and then a great meal at your “bowls and lunch” day at 8.30 tomorrow (Friday). Lady bowlers from all clubs welcome. Phone Wilma Halvorson at 0722585284 to confirm attendance.
The semi finals and finals of the mens and womens club singles take place this Sunday morning.
Enter our March Breakfast pairs at 8.30 on Saturday 28 or simply arrive on the day.
Join our T T bowlers at 8.30 every Tuesday and Thursday for a morning of enjoyable bowls. All bowlers welcome.

Weekly Club Notes – 08.03.2020

Entries for Niba mens and Womens Niba veterans trips and also mixed pairs close on March 15.
Our March Wednesday fours sponsored by MBC and J Leslie attorneys was won by Horse Beeching and his side followed by Andrew Bonds’ side.
West regained the bi annual informal bowls Quart cup last Sunday at MBC.
Please keep track of club competitions and let’s ensure they are timeously completed.
Every bowler is welcome to join our T T bowlers on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8.30 for formal tabs in.
Anybody wanting to give bowls a try should join us on Sundays at 9.30 for stress free and happy informal bowls. This Sunday wear green for an early St Patrick’s day. Woods available. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Morgan Richardson, Tony Schorn and Chris Muncaster. Friday informal bowls continues at 2pm.

Weekly Club Notes 10.02.2020

Well done to all our singles players for entering last weekend club singles and to the winners of rounds one and two.

Entry forms for NIBA mixed pairs and mens and ladies veteran trips are on the notice board.

Winners of the mixed fours competition sponsored by J leslie Smith and MBC on Wed were, Wilma Halvorsen, Rodney Braithwaite, Charle Carr and Ken Hooper.
Don Bond and his team were runners up.

Well done to the NIBA men’s teams for winning the quadrangular last weekend.
Club singles for ladies and men starts on Sunday the 9th Feb.

There is no league this weekend. It resumes February 15 due to the KZN Quadrangular inter districts  which begins in Pietermaritzburg this Saturday morning. The men are at MBC and the women at Collegians.
Winners of our January Breakfast pairs were Mickey Knoesen and Errol Agnew with Triston Everton and Kwa Khanyile second.
Our next Wednesday fours sponsored by MBC and J Leslie attorneys take place February 5

Our final Breakfast pairs this year was won by Mickey Knoesen and Errol Agnew.

T T bowlers have their Christmas lunch today (Thursday) and formal tabs in on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8.30 continues in December as usual with all bowlers welcome.

The bi annual informal Quart Cup with West takes place Sunday15 coinciding with the end year informal bowls year end function.

Well done Kevin Williams, Errol Agnew and Calvin Hollis on reaching the semi finals of the Niba mens trips. Unfortunately they then lost but it was a great effort.

Weekly Club Notes 04.10.2019

Keith Harcombe, Paul Fletcher, Gus Blackbeard together with Gary Voller, Egon von Meyer, John Nortje  as well as Kevin Williams, Errol Agnew, Calvin Hollis did well to win their respective sections of the Niba mens trips and progress to the quarter finals at West this coming Saturday afternoon. 
Our annual Atholl Wood memorial tournament takes place Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 November. Enter with Carol Nesbitt 0824942022 Willie Williams 0722908318 or Gus Blackbeard at 0824432694. Usual generous prizes on offer.

Weekly Club Notes 21.10.2019

Calvin Hollis and Kevin Williams have been re elected as Club President and Vice President respectively. Our new competition secretaries are Wilma Halvorson and Willie Williams.
Congratulations Wilma Halvorson, Elna Fraser, Harriet Sydenham and Rowena Muir on winning the Niba Ladies fours beating Collegians in the final.
League continues this Saturday. Check the board for selections and venues.
Last week our Mens premier B side beat our A side. Our second division and mini league sides had good wins against Eddels and Lynnwood respectively. Our ladies side played well but went down to Lynnwood.
Our October Breakfast pairs is at 8.30 this Saturday. Place sides on the board or enter on the day.

Informal bowls on Friday at 1.30 pm is available to everyone. The commencement time for Sunday bowls is still to be determined and communicated due to the Boks/Wales semi final. The heat kept the chickens inside last Sunday so there were no lucky draw chicken winners.
