Weekly Club Notes 01.10.2018

Our AGM takes place on Saturday morning October 27. A nomination list for new committee members is on the board.
Men and womens league starts this Saturday. Check the board for teams and venues. A feature will be the first ever clash between MBC A and MBC B in the mens premier league.
Our September Breakfast pairs was won by Mike Bosse and John Eeden followed by Rian and Gerry van Rensburg and then Keith Harcombe and Brad Burne.
Bernina offer the only ladies tournament in the district on Sunday October 21at MBC. Phone Pam Spring at 0823741803.
Our annual Archie Allen mens trips takes place all day Sunday October 28. Contact Kevin Williams at 0793276288.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays (T T bowls).
The bi annual Quart Cup challenge for informal Sunday bowlers was won last Sunday by our friendly foe West who took home the Cup after a long wait. Thanks to the 46 bowlers for a great day and to SAB for the beer sponsorship. Informal bowls on Fridays at 2pm and Sundays at 9.30am is available to everyone. Woods are available at the club for new bowlers who are able to learn from experienced bowlers in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Shannon Anley, Les Corlett and Nicky Williams.
All members are entered automatically into our weekly 6pm Friday attendance draw which stands at R1800 but must be present to win. The evening includes our popular meat draw with quality meals on offer.
Due to a wedding being held in the main facility at 3pm this Saturday the Embassy bar will be open for members and visitors.
Our kitchen is open Tuesdays to Sundays for breakfast and lunch with value meals at friendly prices on offer for breakfast and lunch. Thursday evenings offer our popular curry plus a tasty alternative as well as our “Unlock the Lock” fundraiser where R1940 could be won.
